Collaborative Projects

National Collaborations

1. Associate Professor Dr. Pattara Komkam, a committee member of the Center of Excellence for Thai Music and Culture Research, was selected to serve as the president of AUN – AYCF Network University of Thailand, which is a collaboration between 5 institutions: Chulalongkorn University, Burapha University, Mahidol University, Chiang Mai University, and Prince of Songkla University. Ongoing discussions are conducted to further produce performances.
2. An academic network was built between the Center of Excellence for Thai Music and Culture Research, Chulalongkorn University, the Department of Music Education, Sisaket Rajabhat University, Khon Kaen University with the direction of Associate Professor Dr Pornprapit Phoasavadi in organizing the Seminar on Chapey: A Thai-Cambodian Cultural Bridge, in the month of November 2020.
3. Associate Professor Dr. Kumkom Pornprasit and Associate Professor Dr. Pattara Komkam joined the 2nd ASEAN Art Integration Project between 18 – 21 January 2020 at the Center for Art and Culture Promotion, Prince of Songkla University (Hat Yai campus). Associate Professor Dr. Pattara Komkam was selected to serve as the president of AUN – AYCF Network University of Thailand, which is a collaboration between 5 institutions: Chulalongkorn University, Burapha University, Mahidol University, Chiang Mai University, and Prince of Songkla University.

International Collaborations

1. Professor Dr Bussakorn Binson, chair of the Urban Research Plaza’s Forum, in collaboration with Osaka City University, Japan, will organize the 18^th Urban Research Plaza’s Forum that was scheduled for 2020 (The forum was postponed and will be conducted virtually in early March 2021 due to COVID-19 pandemic).
2. Associate Professor Dr. Kumkom Pornprasit & Associate Professor Dr. Pattara Komkam together with nine master’s degree students in Thai music traveled to perform at the Can Tho University Annual Music Show 2019 – Singing Contest – at Can Tho University, Vietnam on 15 – 18 November 2019.  A solo performance on the three-stringed zither, featured a composition by Associate Professor Dr. KumKom Pornprasit, Director of the Center.
3. Associate Professor Dr. Pattara Komkam has been approved by the Office of International Affairs, Chulalongkorn University to serve as the executive director of the ASEAN University Network on Culture and Arts (AUN – CA) from June 18, 2019 to represent the university in attending the conference. This network group aims to exchange ideas in the development of education related to art and culture.
